BIOCOM Events Overview
BIOCOM is committed to providing programs and events that meet the needs of the life science community, with a special focus on industry issues, professional development and networking opportunities. These programs include:
BIOCOM Annual Investor Conference
October 26th - October 28th, 2008
This two and a half day conference will highlight investments opportunities in Southern California's top life science companies to over 500 of the nation's top institutional investors.
Monthly Breakfast Series
An opportunity to hear about the most up-to-date issues affecting the life science community, as well as one of the best networking events in our industry around town. The BIOCOM Breakfast Series is a tradition within the San Diego life science community and draws anywhere from 200-300 attendees each month. Breakfast traditionally begins with a networking hour and then a plated, sit-down program addressing various topics. These topics discuss issues that are relevant to the growth and well being of the life science industry, including economic trends, financing, technology, education and workforce issues.
CFO Receptions
An exclusive forum designed to focus on issues pertinent to Chief Financial Officer’s in the life science industry. These events are quarterly and address various topics pertinent to CFOs. Open to industry CFO’s (companies who have a product regulated by the FDA) and one contact per premium member company only.
Special Events
Annual Open House –This much anticipated July open house has become a BIOCOM tradition. Held outside under an evening summer sky - the all-inclusive event is festive with great food, great music, activities, giveaways, networking and fun. This event typically draws around 500 attendees in the life science community.
CEO Receptions
A quarterly series of events designed specifically for CEO's to learn from one another and network during events; that frequently features a special guest. Open to industry CEO’s (companies who have a product regulated by the FDA) and one contact per premium member company only.
Life Science Venture Network
A series of quarterly events designed specifically for VC's to learn from one another and network in events built around specialized topics.
BIOCOM Committee Workshops
The BIOCOM Communications, Facilities, and Intellectual Property committees produce quarterly workshops for relevant professionals respectively within life science industry companies and service providers.
