RESEARCH ASSOCIATE II
Cell and Molecular Biology

This position will be responsible for conducting experiments in molecular cloning, mutation and protein expression using molecular biology techniques. The position will also provide support to protein purification and assay development groups as needed.
This position requires a BS degree in biological science with 5+ years of hands-on experience or a MS in biological science with 2+ years of experience. Experience with PCR, gene mutation, protein expression using bacteria and mammalian cells, and other molecular biology techniques is required. Experience with protein purification and characterization is also desirable. Finely tuned aseptic techniques are essential. The qualified candidate should also have strong organizational, documentation, multitasking and communication skills. Must be a self-starter, flexible, highly motivated, and dependable. Must also have problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills and able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Some weekend hours will be required.
