Music Watson, APR has more than 20 years’ experience in strategic communications, crisis communications, media relations, community outreach, and public affairs. A former president of the California School Public Relations Association, Watson joined the San Diego County Office of Education in 2012 as chief communications officer before being appointed chief of staff in 2019. She has also worked in public relations for Disney, the American Red Cross, San Diego Unified School District, and California Charter Schools Association. Watson holds a BA in Government and Spanish from Claremont McKenna College and a MA in Latin American Studies from San Diego State University.
