Vice President of Engineering
Dr. An M. Chen is Vice President of Engineering at Qualcomm, where she leads advanced technology enablement for ecosystem partners including end-to-end systems design and advanced prototype implementation in the areas of wireless, ML/AI, and multimedia. Joined Qualcomm since 2001, Dr. Chen holds over 450 worldwide patents and 30+ publications including several book chapters. She has been involved in the innovation, design , and commercialization of wireless communications and IoT systems. She also lead academic collaboration program across technologies including wireless, multimedia, semiconductor, and machine learning. An Chen serves on the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering Corporate Affiliate Program Board and is an avid supporter of STEM education and first-generation college students. An Chen received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from UC San Diego.
