Sharp is Committing to Advance Women in the Workplace
Driven by their 2016 action plan based on Japan’s Act on Promotion of Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, Sharp is working to raise the percentage of women in all job categories and increase the number of women in managerial roles. Their goals include hiring women for at least 15% of engineering jobs and 50% of non-engineering jobs aimed for new graduates, as well as ensuring women make up at least 5% of management.
