City of San Diego Seeks Feedback on Blueprint SD
The City of San Diego seeks feedback on Blueprint SD, a proposal that will update the City’s General Plan land use strategy to encourage sustainable growth, and more homes and jobs. Industry feedback is highly encouraged. Take the Blueprint SD survey today and be on the lookout for additional opportunities for input through their website.
City Launches Life Science Industry Pilot Program for Building Permits
The City of San Diego’s Development Services Department Life Science Industry Pilot Program aims to speed up the building permit process for tenant improvements and new buildings for identified life science businesses. A Development Project Manager will be assigned to each project within the Pilot Program. Plan reviewers with specific knowledge of life science industry processes and issues are designated to review most projects within the program.
Circulate San Diego Launches Mid-Coast Trolley Report
On February 14, Melanie Cohn from our policy team was a featured speaker at the press conference for Circulate San Diego’s launch of “ Making the Most of the Mid-Coast Trolley.” The report offers practical solutions for how the region can get the most “bang for its buck” from its $2B investment in the Mid-Coast Trolley Extension. The solutions allow more homes and jobs near the trolley, and improve connectivity via bus, bicycle and walking to the benefit of the entire region.
