
Executive Director
Jennifer is the Executive Director of the San Diego Regional Economic Development manages the fiduciary responsibilities of the Foundation and oversees its strategic fundraising for specific programming related to EDC’s inclusive growth strategy. Jennnifer is currently overseeing EDC’s work-based learning initiative to better connect our regional career technical programs with employers.
Through her tenure in San Diego, Jennifer has gained extensive knowledge in connecting the business community with regional educational and workforce partners. She successfully administered EDC’s contract with San Diego State University for Project Lead the Way (PLTW), managing the A-G approval process with the UC Regents for all eight PLTW courses to be recognized as college preparatory, and recruiting new school districts to implement the engineering program. She also built EDC’s preschool initiative to engage the business community in realizing the long-term benefits of early child education. Jennifer has also built a statewide network to draw best practices to improve the business climate for San Diego.
Jennifer also spent time at BIOCOM as their membership manager. She was responsible for recruiting life science companies to join BIOCOM, as well as working with various committees and board members to plan key programs and seminars to raise awareness of the growing medical device industry in Southern California.
Jennifer serves on various boards and committees throughout San Diego to better link industry with the broader community.
